Following the dinner, the terrace came alive with a vibrant DJ set by Jake Webb, who curated a custom playlist for the occasion. Guests enjoyed premium cigars under the stars, concluding the evening with an air of relaxed sophistication.

Proceeds from “Beyond the Veil” were dedicated to LifeChanger, a youth mental health charity committed to building resilience in young people across Australia. Thanks to the generosity of our guests and partners, significant funds were raised to support LifeChanger’s vital initiatives. A highlight of the evening was the silent auction of five one-of-a-kind paintings by David Bromley, with all proceeds directly benefiting the charity.

On Friday, 22nd November 2024, the JW Foundation proudly hosted its inaugural event, “Beyond the Veil”, at the historic Sophia Arcade in Melbourne, the former creative home of renowned artist David Bromley. Timelessly curated over three months by the Foundation’s Creative Director, Valentine Mirzayantz, and founder Jonathan Webber, this extraordinary evening marked a defining moment for the JW Foundation. It showcased our commitment to transformative philanthropy through art, culture, and elegance. Partnering with Atlantic Group, Penfolds, and our chosen charity, LifeChanger Foundation, the event left an indelible impression on all who attended, uniting Melbourne’s most esteemed figures for a night of purpose and sophistication.

Under the meticulous art direction of Bas, Sophia Arcade was transformed into a stunning spectacle, adorned with cascading drapes, towering cherry blossom trees, and candlelit pathways. From the moment guests arrived, they were immersed in an atmosphere of enchantment, greeted by the angelic harmonies of the Australian Children’s Choir, whose live performance set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

A carefully curated lineup of world-class talent brought the evening to life. Ethereal ballet performances by the Ministry of Talent’s ballerinas captivated guests with their grace and elegance. Acclaimed violinist Yena Choi delivered a spellbinding live performance, adding sophistication to the event. Renowned artist Melissa La Bozzetta mesmerized attendees with an interactive body painting presentation, blending artistry and engagement seamlessly. Roving performers, including the Venus Oyster Goddess and Blossom Nymphs, added a touch of whimsy and imagination to the night’s creative storytelling.
